Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#120370) at the rank of assistant or associate professor in Clinical Psychology. The start date for the position is August 1, 2024.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, provide thesis and capstone mentoring, develop a research program (all areas of interest welcomed), and service. Teaching may include psychopathology, personality, professional issues and ethics, evidence-based psychotherapies, psychological testing, and other topics based on the candidate’s area of expertise. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to support the undergraduate mental health services minor, the undergraduate psychology major, and the clinical psychology master’s program. Required Education
A terminal degree in clinical psychology or other health services psychology field from an APA-accredited training program with an APA-accredited internship is required.
Other Desirables
Applicants eligible for licensure in Tennessee as a psychologist with the health service provider designation and those with teaching experience will receive special consideration. In addition, as the current clinical faculty intends to pursue APA accreditation for the clinical psychology master’s program, applicants with a clear interest in clinical training at the master’s level will also receive special consideration.
