The University of Southern Mississippi: School Director (Department Chair)

The School of Psychology at The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking a School Director (Department Chair) beginning July, 2020. We are seeking a visionary leader who demonstrates strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills and who will foster innovation and growth in the School of Psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The School Director position is a full-time, 12-month administrative appointment beginning July 1, 2020. The School of Psychology has approximately 600 undergraduate majors and 125 graduate students across three APA-accredited doctoral programs (Counseling, Clinical, & School) and a Brain and Behavior doctoral program. Applicants for the School Director position should meet expectations for tenure and promotion to Professor at or within two years of hiring, possess research and external funding experience, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills as well as administrative experience.
